Rosto and Beka from Tamora Pierce's book Terrier.

Tried to add a texture but it wasn't too successful. To see the version without the texture, have a look at my tumblr [link] . There you can also find the sketch for this picture! You can get a sketch just like that for about $1.50 (150 points) btw.


I had to draw a Beka/Rosto combo after drawing Beka earlier. Beka was easy to draw second time round, but Rosto was an absolute nightmare, I took his character design to look somewhat Scandinavian or like Howl... But didn't get much further than that for a while. Eventually I had to study my German friend's profile to get some idea of the nose (a European profile is different from an Australian profile). Then when I finally got the nose right, the rest of the face looked wrong. I thought when I chucked on the white-blond hair and earring no one will know. Heh.

I still don't know whether I made him look charming or evil. Ahh well. Enjoy!

This is quite fantastic! Rosto especially looks cool with this style...
